Air Zimbabwe, the national airline, flies from the capital city base Harare International Airport to the second largest city, Bulawayo, and also to the tourist destinations Hwange, Kariba and Victoria Falls. Zimbabwe Express Airlines, another local airline, flies from Harare to Bulawayo and the tourist destination.

Within the region, Air Zimbabwe flies to Johannesburg, Durban, Capetown, Lusaka, Lilongwe, Maputo, Beira, Dar es salaam, Nairobi, Windhoek and Mauritius. Zimbabwe Express Airlines flies to Johannesburg.

Internationally, Air Zimbabwe operates four weekly services to London, two weekly services to Frankfurt and once weekly to Larnaca.

Air Zimbabwe also flies to Perth and Sydney in cooperation with Qantas.
Affretair, the designated national freight carrier, operates regular cargo services within the region and also between Zimbabwe and Europe.
There are also within Zimbabwe, a number of smaller companies engaged in charter operations, flying instructions, aerial survey work and crop spraying.
Airports and principal aerodromes are under jurisdiction of the Ministry of Transport and Energy.
Are provided by the Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (PTC), a statutory corporation. The Corporation is made up of three major divisions, Postal Services, Banking and Telecommunications services. The PTC provides telephone, telex, facsimile, telegram and operates the Express Mail Service (EMS) which provides a fast and reliable mail service of documents and goods. There are 18 EMS internal and 66 international destinations. Telex service is available throughout the country and subscriptions in Zimbabwe have automatic dialing facilities to more than 150 countries.
The facsimile services are available throughout the country and public fax bureaux are operated at main post offices in all major centres.
Public call office provides full Subscriber Trunk Dialing facilities to any destination throughout the country.
Also, the PTC operates the Zimbabwe Internet Hub from which private internet service providers sell access to the public.
Zimbabwe has three cellular phone networks.

The National Railways of Zimbabwe, a statutory corporation, operates 3,000 km of 1,067 m gauge railway network that connects with Mozambique, Zambia, Botswana and South Africa. Since independence, measures have been taken to improve the general efficiency of the railways. These include the electrification of the system. The first stage of electrification between Dabuka and Harare was completed on October 22, 1983.

There are some 18,400 km of road designated as State roads in Zimbabwe of which 6,000 km are two lane bituminous surfaced roads, 1,7000 are single lane bituminous surfaced roads, 57 km are the old type bituminous strip roads, and 10,705 km are gravel and earth roads.
State roads ate the responsibility of the Ministry of Transport and Energy.
Additionally, in the rural areas 77,574 km of roads are maintained by local, rural and district authorities, and within municipal areas, there are 5,287 km of roads, 6,000 km under the Ministry of Water and Rural Development and 9,000 km under National Parks.
The State is responsible for the design, construction and maintenance of all the road bridges in the rural areas of Zimbabwe. Motorists drive on the left side of the road.
